Income, income. What am I expecting? I am sat here waiting on a DoorDash to ring through, making no money, and just typing away at a non-monetized blog. No big deal, right? I have a GoPro in my pocket, the one set up for B-roll, and am recording from time to time to get some shots ready for a YouTube video. I need some sort of income. Why do I keep supressing my options to just DoorDash? Why not earn in every way possible?
YouTube included. Someone will find the video and someone will take interest and watch it. But it has to be there first. So? Get it there!
The point of today’s train of thoguth is that income does not have to be based on a “job,” where hours are fixed till they demaind overtime, and holidays are restricted, till they don’t need you. Income like that seems secure, till it is not. But setting up something that will come in without further input seems a better way to roll. So, I film B-roll. Then I can record the A-roll and put it up and see what comes of it.
Yesterday I got home a little early, and get right to work on removing the alternator from the Honda. I thougth it was where the whinning and smoke were coming from. I took it in to exchange it and they tested it first and found it to be running fine. So I brought it home and did the quickest installation I have ever done. I wish I had that kind of energy all the time.
Anyway, I am now thinking that the smoke is from oil spilled when Jordan was replacing the gaskets on the engine, and that the humming noise may be the idler bearing or tensioner. I need to let the car run long enough to burn off the oil or take it up for a wash. And I need to see if the bearing theory rings true by getting a second opinion. It may be as simple as that, and I just need to replace it and things will be back to top notch again. I am really suspecting the oil spill theory because I spilled some power steering fluid while I was taking out the alternator, and remembered right then that things get spilled and soil the engine, and once it is hot, it will smoke. Shame I was so far into that task by that time, rather than thinking it up before starting.
Loads of sirens are coming up this way. I can hear the horn of a fire engine. Someone is in a fix.
Right, still waiting. I have only earned about twenty bucks so far today, and that has been in nearly two and a half hours.
