It’s been weeks now hasn’t it, since June 29th? I have had no progress on my health at all with the PA. I am meant to go in early this week and get another blood draw done, then maybe they will come up with some sort of treatment for me. But after the scans showed no tumor, I am left in the lurch and apparently only in need of medicinal treatment. Well, sure! I might like that! I might like anything that gets me feeling better and like living again. But going into work the way I have been feeling has been a total drag. I am low energy, worried about passing out again, and feeling a lot less than happy at the moment. I have not been able to complete eight-hour shifts, which is no big deal when DoorDashing, but it is nothing for me to live on when the pay is so damned horrid. I feel pains throughout my organs and neck and head. They are not terrible, but they are there, dragging me down. I’d rather lay down and sleep in the days, not because I am tired, though I am, but because I am in general discomfort. My tiredness is one of dealing with inner things, and not one of overwork or under sleeping. In fact, I have been sleeping the best I have in many years these past couple of weeks. I go out around midnight, admittedly a little late, then wake up around 4:30 or 5:00 to answer nature’s call, then get back to sleep within half an hour or so.
Then there is the food/energy thing. I eat breakfast every day now. I have to. By around 11:30, I need something again, followed around 2:00 and again towards evening time. Sometimes later, like 9:00. But the thing is, I am not hungry. I am starved for nutrients though, and if I don’t get them, I begin to fog out and that is what led to me going unconscious when this all first began. It’s not good. Not good at all. Obviously.
The heat has been more tolerable while working. I have the Air Con working in the car again and can keep it cool all day long. I am afraid it is not that way at the house, and I don’t know what to do about it. We need an effective fix. I left the air off last night on the fan because of a lightning storm, and I wonder if that made it hotter in here today over-all. I don’t know. The fan is staying on tonight. We have a couple of 100F plus days ahead of us. Oh, good times!
Work has been challenging. First off, the pay is awful. Second, the hours required to get crap is awful. Other Dashers are getting higher pay on what is called Peak Pay, while I have been getting normal rates. Door Dash does not mention a tiered system of payment, but they sure give one. Right in the same area, too. I am not impressed. On top of it, getting to the tops of the stairs in some of the apartment blocks has been harder than normal. Would be great if the PA would sort out my meds and let me see if this is a heart problem, or this condition acting up.
Jordan came down the other day, and we went to the dump to get wood. Serious problems there. They are cleaning it all up and going to build a transfer station where the wood was. We are going to be unable to get wood there any longer once it is cleared. So we need to get something else going to get wood. I would like to avoid going into the mountains. That is so dangerous. We are going to see what we can get as soon as possible from the dump in the meantime.
Right. I am getting towards time to go get a bit of food in me ready for bed. I can feel the onset of the energy decline. Also, it is 9:30 at night, and the air coming in via the big fan is only just now starting to cool off. What a summer it is!
